I'll borrow an XP laptop from a friend and see if I can get it to connect with that. This is new and I haven't touched the sensor plug at all during the install, so I'm not entirely sure why the codes are showing and it's probably not a huge issue right now, but this probably has something to do with the eManage as well. Thanks for any advice. I've been through versions 1.01, 1.04, 1.05, 1.06, 2.00, and 2.20, cycling through open software, then ignition on and ignition on, then open software for each version, but it never detects a thing and remains OFFLINE.Also, not sure if this helps, but I'm getting codes P0335 and P0340 from the code reader.īoth have to do with the camshaft A position sensor. I'm guessing the engine is running too rich due to a bad map and the 900cc injectors I'm running, so I downloaded a Dezod map and tried syncing to the eManage, but no luck.I'm using Windows 7 (32 bit), but it surprisingly works fine with the driver - it installed, the laptop recognizes the eManage USB connection and everything.

I bought the eManage used, so have no clue what map is on there right now. It turns over I can get some combustion when pumping the gas, and can smell gas after turning it over for a while (not a leak though), but it won't start.

I just did a turbo install (Ptuning) with the eManage Ultimate, and my tC isn't starting. I could be mistaken, but I believe Greddy said it had to be Windows 7 32 bit or older, and prefers XP over anything. The only way we were able to connect to the EU was with my ol' trusty Windows XP laptop (upgraded from Windows ME nonetheless). The good news is the EU is up and running, I got his MEVI activating through the EU, and recently set up his 2-step launch this past weekend.

No luck.Another orger tried his laptop with Windows 7 64 bit and did the 'compatibility mode' and that didn't work either.Greddy was contacted. He tried the whole 'compatibility mode' thing too. He has Windows 8, 64 bit.We couldn't get his laptop to connect with the EU. A fellow orger here just went through all of this. I may get a Windows 8 tablet (7-8 inches coming soon ) and do a tablet retro into my dash. Just curious if someone has done it already.I have a VERY capable laptop with Windows 8 Pro and my job just sent me a Dell XPS 12 convertible ( which is f.ing awesome because its a tablet and a PC in one! And of course it runs Windows 8 ) and I would like to use either one for my datalogging, maps, etc.And who knows. I noticed there is an option to run applications in older versions of Windows simply by clicking on the desktop icon Right clickPropertiesCompatibility tab checking the box 'Compatibility mode' will give you a drop down menu of which version of Windows you want to run that program (and it goes back as far as 95 LOL)Seems with these options it should work but it's not perfect.

I know it was written for 32 bit machine but all I have 64bit and don't want to really bother in purchasing an old XP machine.I have a laptop which previously had Windows 7 and now has Windows 8 Pro that I got for free through work. Just had a quick question if anyone has been able to run the emanage software on a Windows 7 or 8 (圆4) machine.

I pioneered the NVCS/o2 clamp relay mod that no one else could work out. let me know if you need any help,it's been a few years since i tackled an install and setup but i'm sure it'll all come back to me.I pretty much know all there is to getting the best out of the emanage blue on a MX5. I have some wiring diags and stuff saved in my old old archive files on a spare drive somewhere. you need a SMALL 2mm screwdriver or similar to pick out the wires and place them in.īut be warned they don't like newbs asking "dumb" questions without searching first! You just need to steal a few wires from the ignition plug and put them into the "main" plug to get it all working. The unit comes with plenty of wires in the ignition loom that arent used by the mx5.so just buy that. SLYDIT wrote:You do not need to buy both the injector and ignition looms!
